It's no secret if the acquisition of Hewlett-Packard (HP) on the Palm will give birth to the tablet computer products. HP also confirmed that iPad competing product that would be present at the upcoming early 2011.
As quoted from Engadget, Friday (08/20/2010), Todd Bradley as VP of HP's Personal Systems Group revealed it in a direct discussion with investors and analysts.
"You can see that the Microsoft product (Slate HP-ed) would be present in the near future, and we present webOS-based products in early 2011," he told investors and analysts.
HP plans to enter the arena of tablet computers has long sounded. At first that sounds Santer is cooperating with Microsoft to create named Slate tablets products that use Windows 7.
Although Slate has a HP and took the cooperation with Microsoft, HP was still making the other tablets with Palm's webOS their previous acquisitions.
After acquiring Palm, tablet-based products WebOS sounds much more sexy than the Slate. Combination Palm capabilities in software and user interface plus the reliability of HP hardware is believed to be a duet of death against the iPad.
